  hi everyone!i'm new here, but have been active on the reddit r\exjw community.

  i have just published a website where i analysed the last 50-70 years worth of watchtowers, awake, books, brochures, and kingdom ministries/work books.. i have collected all the data and published it at the link below.

  so my in-laws actually went out to dinner with us today.

  normally, since leaving in 2016, they wouldn’t eat with us or talk much to me.

  (since i did convince their daughter to leave the cult).

  Anyone else remember the Awake saying this?

  i may have put this in the wrong thread.

  if so, i'm sorry.. my conundrum is this.... i am almost completely certain that an awake back in the 80's/90's mentioned a group of rock bands we shouldn't listen to and i seem to remember them actually naming guns and roses.. i can't find anything now, and i'm wondering if it's the mandela effect, or if it's another case of the cdrom versions of the awakes being doctored again.. does anyone else remember this?

  i am all for the second amendment and this does not change my mind.

  but i do hate this kind of thing, makes my stomach turn.

  going on 2+ years of no public ministry.

  can't imagine anyone is really enjoying letter writing still or that it's remotely effective.

  i'm a little shocked that we haven't resumed yet but i guess that's what happens when the org is run by a bunch of old people (ie high risk for covid) and a bunch of other sheltered germaphobes.

  Simple Question Re 1914

  wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!

  and the end times.

  a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

  They even produce a special version for the barely literate public, those with little education that are easily duped.

  Give us a break, many of us here have scam fatigue.

  You would have to be a nut case to be a missionary in a muslim country and I can't see the WT giving many hints and tips about keeping your head securely fitted other than to pray.

  I feel sorry for those lulled into a false sense of security and sent on very dangerous mission.
